How Catch-A-Call Works

"I've been trying to reach you all day, but your phone line is constantly busy!"

With Catch-A-Call, you will never hear complaints like these again. Catch-A-Call allows users to receive incoming phone calls and faxes while they are connected to SkyWay USA, eliminating missed calls and/or the need for a second phone line.

Catch-A-Call uses your telephone company's call waiting service (call waiting is required) to detect incoming calls while you are online. Catch-A-Call immediately rings and flashes a red light to notify you of the incoming call. If you choose to take the call, simply pick up the telephone plugged into the Catch-A-Call and your Internet connection will automatically be placed "on hold" for a short length of time (normally about 30 seconds). After you are finished with your phone conversation, simply hang up and resume surfing the Internet. If you stay on the phone too long causing your computer to disconnect from SkyWay USA, you simply reconnect. With Catch-A-Call, you can stay connected to SkyWay USA all day long without the worry of missing any calls or faxes.

Catch-A-Call FAQ's

Can I use SkyWay USA and talk on the phone at the same time using Catch-A-Call?

No. Catch-A-Call lets you receive incoming calls and faxes while you are connected to SkyWay USA, but your connection will be lost after 30 seconds. Of course this is much better than callers getting a busy signal and not being able to reach you at all.

When I take an incoming call and Catch-A-Call places my SkyWay USA connection "on hold", will I lose my connection?

Your SkyWay USA connection will disconnect after a short length of time, normally about 30 seconds. But you'll have enough time to take a message and get back to your caller later.

When Catch-A-Call alerts me of an incoming call while I am online, and I choose NOT to take the call, will the caller be forwarded to my answering machine? What about voice mail?

Callers will NOT be forwarded to your answering machine, but they WILL be forwarded to voice mail, if you have that service. Your connection will NOT be lost if you choose not to take the call.

When I get an incoming call while I am online, will Catch-A-Call ring or will my phone ring? Can I answer using ANY phone in the house?

Only Catch-A-Call will ring (and flash a red light). You must answer using the phone that is plugged into the Catch-A-Call. Once you answer the call with that phone, you then can pick up and use any other phone in the house.

Can I use a cordless phone with Catch-A-Call?

Yes.

Is the power adaptor included?

Everything that you need, including the power adaptor and the phone cord, is included in the package.

Is Catch-A-Call difficult to install?

Not at all. Catch-A-Call plugs in just like a normal telephone does. Simply plug your computer, phone, and fax into the Catch-A-Call and you are ready to go. There is no software to install. And it works with both Windows PC and Apple MacIntosh.

Will Catch-A-Call slow down my connection speed to SkyWay USA?

Not at all.

Is Catch-A-Call compatible with Caller ID?

Yes it is. If you are subscribed to Call waiting caller ID service (this is different than regular Caller ID), you can attach a Caller ID unit to the Catch-A-Call and see who is calling you, then decide whether or not to take the call. This feature will NOT work with caller ID screens built into the phone. It must be a separate caller ID unit.

What are Catch-A-Call's dimensions and weight?

4" x 3" x 1" and weighs a little less than a pound.

Does Catch-A-Call accept incoming faxes as well as phone calls?

Yes it does.
